Yeo Hung Kye and Yong Ming Yang < Italian Chicken Rice >

Baking - Italian <Easy Italian Chicken II>

Italian Chicken Rice
  1. To Marinate: Pour salad dressing into a large, resealable plastic bag. Add chicken breasts, seal bag and shake to coat. Place in refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight (the longer you marinate, the more taste the chicken will absorb).
  2. Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  3. Remove chicken from bag, discard remaining marinade. Place chicken in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish and bake at 350ºF (175ºC) for 1 hour, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Note: Turn chicken occasionally while baking.
  4. Add them with Singapore’s famous Haianese chicken rice and serve mixed together. Note: Haianese chicken and Italian chicken can be chosen from either, or mixed together.

Unlike other cooking methods, baking does not alter the nutritional information of the food item. Frying, grilling, etc. all change the fat and calorie content of the food. Therefore, we feel that this dish is healthy for a student only only because of the taste and aroma that it gives out, but also proper nutrition needed for a student to gain sufficient energy without overeating. This dish serves rice which gives people energy, chicken for protein needed for growth, and low in fat and sugars.
